Dr. Ibrahim Akinwunmi Mustafa (PS, PHCB) made engaging advocacy on the “Roles of LGA/LCDA in Primary Health Care System Revitalization”.
The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board in its bid to improve the Primary Health Care System in the State was invited as a guest speaker to the Induction/Retreat for the Newly Elected Chairmen of the 57 LGA/LCDAs.
The Permanent Secretary PHCB; Dr. Ibrahim Akinwunmi Mustafa made an engaging advocacy presentation on the “Roles of LGA/LCDA in Primary Health Care System Revitalization”.
In his presentation, he sensitized the Newly Elected Officials on their roles in improving the Primary Health Care System in Lagos State, with recommendations based on strategic actions to be made by the Chairmen on improving Health Infrastructures, Support for the Local Government Health Advisory (LGHA) and Ward Health Committee (WHC), Community Governance Structures, provision of ambulances for prompt referrals, supporting Primary Health Care System programs and activities as well as a host of others.
The occasion provided an avenue for further dialogue and advocacy with the Chairmen on PHC matters, which be a continuous engagement with the Chairmen at LGA/LCDAs in the State.
