LSPHCB begins exit replacement of Health Workers

The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) begins the exit replacement of its Health Workers Bolster Primary Healthcare Delivery. The exercise which began on Tuesday 12th of February, 2024 will last till Friday 16th, 2024.
In a major move to strengthen the primary healthcare system and improve access to quality care for residents at the grassroots, the Primary Health Care Board has begun the exit replacement of healthcare workers as approved by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu.

Speaking at the screening exercise, the Permanent Secretary, of Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Ibrahim Akinwunmi Mustafa noted that the recruitment drive will focus on attracting doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical laboratory professionals, Community Health workers, Health Educators, and other allied health professionals.
“The primary healthcare system is the bedrock of any healthcare system, and by bolstering the workforce at this level, we are ensuring that every resident has access to the care they need when they need it,” Dr. Mustafa stated.
He further said that the exit replacement is not just about numbers; it’s about improving the lives of the people at the grassroots.
This initiative signifies the government’s unwavering commitment of the present administration to enhancing healthcare delivery at the grassroots.
