Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

The responsibilities performed by the ICT Unit include the following:

  1. Identification of new IT requirements for the Board
  2. Provision of on-going IT Support to the Board (serves as Helpdesk)
  3. Automation of government business and administrative processes
  4. Responsible for addition, movement and removal of computer systems
  5. Ensuring that all equipment are correctly setup and joined to the domain
  6. Maintenance, repair and upgrade of computer systems, switches, and other devices within the Ministry
  7. Ensuring that all designated officers have access to internet/intranet connectivity
  8. Conducting routine checks on Systems and Face-Plates in PHCB
  9. Installation of the ANTI-VIRUS software on all Computer Systems
  10. The organisation of in- house training for the staff
