Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
The responsibilities performed by the ICT Unit include the following:
- Identification of new IT requirements for the Board
- Provision of on-going IT Support to the Board (serves as Helpdesk)
- Automation of government business and administrative processes
- Responsible for addition, movement and removal of computer systems
- Ensuring that all equipment are correctly setup and joined to the domain
- Maintenance, repair and upgrade of computer systems, switches, and other devices within the Ministry
- Ensuring that all designated officers have access to internet/intranet connectivity
- Conducting routine checks on Systems and Face-Plates in PHCB
- Installation of the ANTI-VIRUS software on all Computer Systems
- The organisation of in- house training for the staff
